School-to-Library Spanish Time
Let's go from the School to the Library!!!
In 2008 started the program School-to-Library Spanish Time. This program is co-sponsored by the University of Illinois Extension and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies
In this program, school teachers and librarians bring the children to the Library for a Library tour and "Spanish Time": bilingual (Spanish/English) storytelling, craft and music.
The goal of School-to-Library Spanish Time is to encourage elementary school students to discover literature, enjoy reading and at the same time learn about Latin American culture.
