CLACS invites you to participate in the following 2016 Hispanic Heritage Celebration programs:

The Urbana Free Library

2016 HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH CELEBRATION

  • SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2016
  • 2:00 - 3:30 pm
  • The Urbana Free Library, Children's Services
Come with your children to explore the culture of Latin American Hispanic Heritage through a bilingual storytelling, traditional art & crafts, and music.
            • Traditional Latin American Music
            • Bilingual Storytelling
            • Make traditional crafts
            • Display tables: flags, art, crafts

       

      On October 2016 the 10th year celebration of the Spanish Storytime program will be part of the Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration!

We will present the books:

Passport to Latin America and the Caribbean


Passport to Latin American and the Caribbean is a bilingual presentation on Latin America and the Caribbean, which provides general information about the Latin American' countries, people, languages, food, culture, music and traditions.

CLACS presents Passport to Latin American and the Caribbean to schools and community programs. If you are interested in this presentation, please contact the CLACS Outreach Coordinator, clacs@illinois.edu.

Additionally, CLACS sponsors many cultural events, such as Latin American music and dance ensembles, and art exhibitions.
